The Opportunity

Strategio is looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer. This role combines platform engineering, developer productivity, and AI-enabled automation to improve the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You'll build scalable tooling, CI/CD integrations, testing frameworks, and observability solutions that help engineering teams move faster while maintaining reliability, security, and quality.

We're looking for an engineer with strong production experience, a passion for solving complex problems, and a practical understanding of how AI can enhance developer workflows and software delivery.

About You:

You are a senior software engineer who enjoys building reliable systems, developer tooling, and platforms that improve how software gets delivered. You have experience designing, building, deploying, and operating production systems across the full software development lifecycle. You think beyond writing code and take ownership of testing, CI/CD, observability, scalability, and operational excellence.

You are comfortable using modern AI development tools and understand how LLM-powered solutions can improve engineering workflows. More importantly, you understand their limitations and know when traditional software solutions are the better choice.

As a Strategio Senior Software Engineer you will:

  • Build and maintain platforms, tooling, and automation that improve the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Develop CI/CD integrations, deployment automation, and developer productivity solutions
  • Create scalable frameworks, templates, and "Golden Path" standards that accelerate software delivery while maintaining security and quality
  • Build and support cloud-based platform services and infrastructure that enable reliable software delivery at scale
  • Build AI-powered tooling, workflows, agents, and automation that enhance engineering efficiency
  • Develop and maintain governed catalogs of agents, MCPs, skills, and developer tools with appropriate access controls
  • Design and implement testing strategies, quality controls, and reliability practices across platform services
  • Build observability solutions including metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and anomaly detection
  • Analyze telemetry and usage data to drive performance improvements, platform adoption, and engineering decisions
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience, platform adoption, and AI-assisted development workflows

Core Skills

  • 5–8+ years of experience building and operating production software systems
  • Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python
  • Experience building modern web applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling
  • Strong testing discipline including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing
  • Experience implementing observability practices using tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Datadog
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems and supporting high-availability environments
  • Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and operate effectively in ambiguous environments
  • Experience integrating LLMs, AI-assisted tooling, or automation solutions into engineering workflows

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience building AI agents or agent orchestration systems
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
  • Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Kiro
