Strategio is seeking a Finance & Accounting Analyst to support a large, global financial institution in Montreal within a highly visible Finance Business Group.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, governance, and enterprise technology cost management. You will partner closely with technology and business stakeholders to provide financial transparency, cost allocation oversight, and P&L-focused reporting across multiple technology domains, including cloud, data centers, AI initiatives, and enterprise platforms.

This is a strategic, back-office finance function focused on cost transparency, financial control, and enterprise-level analysis in a complex banking environment.

About You:

You are a backend-focused software engineer with strong experience in Java and a solid understanding of modern enterprise development. You take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and enjoy solving complex problems in distributed systems. You're comfortable working in Agile teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering high-quality backend solutions. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to large-scale financial platforms with high stability and performance demands.

As a Strategio Finance & Accounting Analyst, you will:

• Own financial and accounting analysis related to enterprise technology spend
• Support P&L-oriented accounting, cost allocation, and financial reporting for technology portfolios
• Analyze and validate large datasets to track, reconcile, and explain technology costs across business lines
• Prepare executive-ready management decks and financial reports, translating technical spend into business impact
• Partner with technology and business teams to identify cost drivers, optimization levers, and forecasting insights
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes related to technology expenses
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and adherence to financial controls
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial models, reporting tools, and governance processes

Core Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Proven experience in finance, accounting, or finance business management
• Experience within banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, and accounting principles
• Proven ability to work with large datasets and financial models
• Experience in a back-office or enterprise finance function
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clearly explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves:

• Exposure to technology cost management (cloud, data centers, enterprise platforms, AI)
• Familiarity with how technology organizations operate
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI or similar)
• Experience partnering with technology teams
• Consulting or contract-based experience within large enterprise environments
