ERP Developer

Location: New York, NY - Hybrid

The Opportunity

Strategio is seeking a ERP Developer specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support the digital operations of a rapidly growing, operationally complex organization based in New York City.

This role is ideal for a developer who understands that ERP systems are the backbone of business performance, connecting finance, supply chain, sales, and operations into one intelligent ecosystem.

You will play a key role in customizing, optimizing, and enhancing Business Central to ensure scalability, operational efficiency, and data integrity across departments.



About You:


You understand workflows, dependencies, and how small system improvements can drive major business impact. You’re comfortable working cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions.

You are proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in owning system improvements from design through deployment.


As a Strategio ERP Developer you will:


  • Design, develop, and maintain customizations and extensions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL.
  • Configure and optimize core ERP modules, including Financial Management, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Sales.
  • Develop reports and dashboards (RDLC/Word layouts) to support operational decision-making.
  • Integrate Business Central with third-party systems using APIs and web services.
  • Support data migration, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to system documentation and best practices.



Core Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience of ERP development experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Strong proficiency in AL development.
  • Experience with ERP configuration, customization, and module implementation.
  • Solid SQL knowledge.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems via APIs or web services.



Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Azure environments.
  • Exposure to EDI integrations.
  • Background in distribution, retail, beverage, or supply chain-driven industries.
  • Experience supporting ERP migrations or system upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform tools.
