Investment Systems Analyst

The Opportunity

Strategio is expanding its Enterprise Financial Services Practice and supporting a major transformation initiative for one of Canada’s largest investment management firms. This organization oversees hundreds of billions in AUM, with growing exposure to private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private credit.

You have hands-on experience in private markets finance, across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, or real estate, and understand how investment data flows through the lifecycle of capital calls, repayments, and valuations. You’ve supported front- and mid-office teams in managing deal onboarding, investor activity, and cash movement tracking through structured platforms.

This role is ideal for someone with investment accounting depth, strong systems exposure, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally on complex initiatives.


About You:


You are a finance or accounting expert with deep familiarity with investment data flows. You’ve supported or led the implementation of accounting and investment platforms within institutional environments, and you understand the operational impact of system architecture on daily investment processes. You thrive in structured environments but are comfortable translating evolving requirements into tested solutions.


As a Strategio Investment Systems Analyst, you will:


  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to gather and document functional requirements related to capital activity, fund valuation, and investor reporting
  • Support system design, configuration, and implementation across platforms that support private assets
  • Lead or contribute to UAT, including test case creation and validation of workflows tied to capital calls, NAV, and partner allocations
  • Perform reconciliation and data validation across front, middle, and back-office systems
  • Resolve issues related to valuation cycles, cash movements, and capital account balances
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment between platform behavior and operational needs



Core Skills


  • Strong understanding of private market asset classes, including private credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, co-investments, and fund-of-funds
  • Familiarity with the private investment lifecycle, including deal onboarding, commitments, capital calls, interest accruals, distributions, and exits
  • Experience working with investment management or fund administration systems supporting private assets, such as SimCorp Dimension (alternatives modules), eFront, Investran, Allvue, iLevel, or equivalent institutional platforms
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in investment operations or fund administration
  • Proven functional analysis and UAT capabilities within private markets contexts, including documenting business requirements, validating fund workflows, designing test scenarios for capital activity and valuation logic, and resolving data discrepancies
  • Ability to perform data reconciliation, validate system outputs, and troubleshoot across investment, accounting, and reporting layers



Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with IFRS-based reporting or investment audits
  • Experience Working with Investment platforms such as SimCorp, eFront, Investran, etc.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses, batch processing tools, or system architecture
  • Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, CBAP, etc.)
